Meet Olive

Hi, I’m Olive!

My mom and dad adopted me from a wonderful rescue when I was just a few months old. I went through a lot early on, but I’ve had the best life ever since I found my home. I have several brothers and sisters, whom I love very much. They call me "Big Chicken" because I get scared easily, but I’ll warm up to you if you have a treat. I love to zoomie and bite my brother Cotton’s ankles to get him to play with me. I’m not sure he likes that, but it works, so I’m happy! I love cleaning my brother Rufus and my brother Shark, and I enjoy snuggling with my sisters. My favorite thing to do is sit outside and watch the birds or go for a long walk.

Thank you for visiting our page! It means the world to us and so many others in need!

OUR STORY

As lovers of animal rescue and beautiful scents,
we wanted to create something that encompassed both.
We have always wanted to burn amazing smelling candles in our home,
but we refused due to the harmful chemicals they omit.

These chemicals affect us as well as our pets that we love dearly.
We wanted to make a change so we combined the most exquisite phthalate-free
scents with all-natural coconut wax. Our candles are made with the purest,
highest quality materials that are 100% free of parabens, phthalates, dyes & are cruelty free.

Our babies are all rescues and went through so much at a very young age.
From abandonment, abuse, starvation, parvo and so on.
They have taught us so much in such a short time.
The love they provide despite everything they have been through is simply amazing.

We have been very blessed to have worked with several rescue organizations
throughout our life, and nothing brings us more joy than to give back!
With every purchase 10% will be donated to an animal rescue in need.
Olive and Oils will have a new release three times a year
& will give back to a different rescue each release.

Our story is just beginning- Thank you for supporting Olive & Oils.

The Rest of Our Family

Marley

Marley was surrendered from a dog-fighting situation when she was just a baby. Having recently survived parvo, Marley was malnourished and had never even felt grass before. However, we knew she was ours the moment we laid eyes on each other. She chose us, and we chose her. The true alpha queen of the family, she is a mom to all our cats and dogs. Marley is the matriarch of our household and truly the best girl in the world.

Monster

Monster was surrendered with her siblings one summer day to a local rescue. We noticed her story online and felt compelled to meet her, as we had just lost our first dog, Derby, and were still heartbroken. Marley needed a friend, and Monster was the perfect match. We loved her instantly. She is the sweetest, most independent little girl, and she loves everyone she meets. P.S. She’s also famous!

Shark

Shark & his brother were dropped off on Christmas Eve, & left outside at the shelter. They were found the next morning, freezing in a small box. At that time, we were working with a local rescue that began fostering him. We fell in love at first sight and knew he needed us. Shark is the most loyal little boy, living for his dad, who is also his very best friend. He also loves his best cat friend, Rastis.

Cotton

Cotton’s mom came from one of the largest hoarding busts in Kentucky. She was pregnant and very sick. A local rescue took her in, and on December 23rd, she gave birth to 15 puppies, one of which was Cotton. Sadly, only 9 survived. The remaining puppies contracted parvo, and it was touch and go for a while. We watched their story on the news and knew we needed him. Once better all his siblings were adopted into great families, and so was his precious mom, Hazel. Cotton is the sweetest, most loving boy—a true gentle giant and protector who lives to please everyone around him.

Winnie

Winnie was found starving, abused, and roaming in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, in the middle of winter. Our neighbors took her in for a few days, and we all tried to find her owner, but no one claimed her. We decided to take her to our vet for bloodwork, vaccinations, and spaying to ensure she was okay. She was very timid, but after a week at the vet and our visits, we knew she was the final piece to our family. We brought her home, and she fit in perfectly. Winnie is our sweet princess who plays on our emotions and wins every time. Her eyes and cuddles melt our hearts.

Rufus

Rufus was found with his twin brother, Stell, in our backyard at just 2 weeks old. Sadly, the rest of their siblings had passed away, and their mom was gone. We took them both in right away, bottle-feeding them to ensure they grew up strong and healthy. Now, at 20 years old, Rufus is a sweet, precious boy who runs the entire house! He loves lounging on the porch on warm days or resting on his dad’s lap. He adores everyone he meets, and they certainly love him back!

Stell

Stell’s story is the same as Rufus's. He was the sweetest, most handsome little boy. He lived a full life, always gentle and kind, and he wanted to be around his family all the time. He was deeply loved by everyone, especially his sisters, Charlie and Olive. Stell lived until he was 20 and passed peacefully. He will forever be missed.

Pearry

Pearry was found at the end of our driveway at less than two weeks old. He was very sick, and we thought he might be blind. We took him in and spent weeks bottle-feeding and nurturing him back to health. He instantly became attached to Stell, and they were the best of friends. Pearry grew up to be a healthy, shy, sweet little boy. He spoke with his beautiful eyes and loved his family very much. He survived so much, but sadly lost a hard battle with cancer at 15 years old. We will miss him forever.

Charlie

Charlie was adopted from a pet store that sadly did not take good care of their animals. When we held her, she was very limp, and they told us she was just tired from playing all day, but we soon discovered she was actually sick. After a week or two, she finally recovered and became the most beautiful little girl—wild and crazy! She was adopted from Gatlinburg just two weeks before the deadly fires, and we knew it was a sign that we made the right decision to save her when we did. Charlie is spunky and loves to tease all her fur siblings, but she adores them just the same. Her favorite thing to do is sleep under the blankets and cuddle with her favorite human.

Rastis

Rastis was our perfect little PetSmart rescue. Our cat Lucky, who was our first baby, passed away on the same day as my mom, leaving our family even more heartbroken. About a month later, my husband went to PetSmart to get food and noticed this beautiful, sweet kitten sitting alone in a kennel. We felt it was the perfect time to welcome another kitten into our family. Rastis is full of life, fun, and loves everyone she meets. She is especially fond of her dad, her brother, and her best friend, Shark.

Walter

Walter was found by a group of kids at a park late one night, while a man was trying to drown him. He was only a week old. We watched his horrifying story on the news, and he barely survived. The amazing rescue that saved him worked tirelessly to restore his health, but it was a long road. We reached out to the rescue because we needed to meet this little guy. The founder brought him over late one night, and he barely fit in the palm of my hand, but he was perfect. He needed us, and we needed him—something just clicked. We later discovered that he was born on the same day my mom passed. She sent him to us. Walter is the most handsome little man who loves to cuddle, and he adores his entire family, especially his sister, Charlie.
