Candle Care
We prioritize quality control and conduct various burn tests before production to select the best wick for each candle style. Additionally, we burn random candles from each batch to ensure consistency and prevent issues like tunneling.
Here are a few tips to help avoid tunneling:
1- First Burn: Make sure the initial burn lasts 4 hours or more to melt the wax evenly across the entire surface. This will help create a “memory ring” and prevent tunneling. Also, make sure to light the wick in the center of the wood, not the edges as this also helps create an even burn.
2- Burn Time: For each use after the first burn, make sure to burn the candle for at least 2 hours, preferably 4 (or until it reaches the edge of the vessel) to keep the wax pool even.
3- Avoid Drafts: Place the candle away from open windows, fans, or areas with drafts. Air movement can cause an uneven burn and lead to tunneling as the flame flickers and moves.
4- Allow the Candle to Cool Between Burns: Let the candle cool completely before relighting. This allows the wax to reset evenly, which helps maintain an even burn next time.
Candle Care-
• Always trim wick to 1/4" before each burn
• Place candle on a stable surface away from flammable items before burning
• Keep away from children and pets
• Keep away from drafts
• Keep wax free of debris
• Burn for 4 hours at a time to prolong the life of your candle and prevent tunneling
• Never leave lit candle unattended
